While the first six chapters are basically the same as those found in the earlier edition, with some minor corrections, the majority of the change involves the advanced materials found in chapters 7-13, since more educators, practicing engineers and scientists are now aware of bond graphs than were in the early 1970s. Book was in better shape than described. Delivery was fast. Price was good. Classic book on modeling from the 1970s. By learning a single set of descriptors it is possible to bridge the gap between disciplines and to condense a lot of knowledge into a few easy to relate conepts.

I have a difficult time keeping this book on the shelf. Most everyone wants to borrow it. I work in an electro-magnetics lab and I have found that knowing bond graphs is extremely useful. This book is highly recommended.
